Frustrated by the lack of trendy and eco-friendly options available to style-conscious shoppers, Montreal-based momtrepreneur Mélissa Lambert decided to create her own collection of vegan-friendly bags and accessories.
“I developed Lambert, when I was pregnant with my second child, and was on a never-ending search to find a multipurpose backpack that was both practical and chic, and also able to meet my everyday needs,” she recently explained in an interview with the Vancouver Sun.
Lambert has certainly tapped into a rising trend. An increasing number of consumers are turning away from fast fashion and animal-based leather, choosing cruelty-free fashion apparel instead. According to recent reports, the global vegan women’s fashion market size is expected to reach USD 1 billion by 2027.
Lambert’s boutique in Montreal’s Old Port presents a curated selection of vegan backpacks, purses, and travel accessories. It’s a must-stop for locals and tourists alike.
